Two More Scovie WINS!!

So what's a Scovie...?
The Scovie Awards evolved from the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show after 1996 when the contest was called “The Fiery Foods Challenge.”

The Scovie Awards Competition accepts entries for two months during the summer and the judging is held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The judging, which is not open to the public, consists of 80 to 100 judges, mostly food professionals, who sample products in coded cups in what is called a “blind tasting.” They fill out judging forms and rate the products according to eye appeal, aroma, flavor, and heat scale, and the forms are later totaled and compiled by their staff.

The 2017 Scovie Awards judging panel of top culinary experts honored Suzanne’s Kitchen with a 2nd Place Award in – Condiments Hot & Spicy that are “Unique” - for their Pepper Jelly Hell, and a 3rd Place Award in “Sweet-Heat” Jams & Jellies for our Pepper Jelly Heaven. The winning products were applauded because of their natural pepper flavor, and unique sweet-hot profile.

Dave DeWitt, founder of the Scovie Awards and the National Fiery Foods and Barbecue Show, said there were  entries from 34 states and 5 countries: the United States, Canada, Hungary, Croatia, and Australia.

Said Suzanne, regarding the win, "We feel honored and blessed to be recognized. We won awards for our Sampler set and took a 1st and 2nd place wins for our jellies in 2012, as well. Now we have taken at least one for each of our products. We couldn't be happier. We look forward to hanging our new Scovie Award banners!"
